How do I make an appointment?
New patients follow three steps:
- Get a referral. You need a current referral from your GP or another specialist to see Dr Tsung.
- Call reception to book. Phone (07) 5676 9930 to arrange your first appointment. Appointments are booked by phone, not online.
- Pre-register before your visit. Complete the pre-registration form so we have your details ready. The form helps us prepare for your appointment; it does not book one.

Do I need a referral?
Yes. A referral from your GP or another specialist is required to see Dr Tsung, and it's also needed for Medicare to pay a rebate on your consultation. A GP referral is valid for 12 months and a specialist referral for 3 months. If you're a doctor referring a patient, see refer a patient.

Take the lift to Level 6 and turn right. Paid parking is available under the hospital, with additional parking in the grounds and a courtesy shuttle to the main entrance during business hours, Monday to Friday. By public transport, a bus stop (Inland Drive at John Flynn Hospital) is at the hospital entrance, served by TransLink routes including the 767 and 768, which connect Currumbin and Tweed Heads; check current timetables at translink.com.au or call 13 12 30. The rooms are a few minutes from Gold Coast Airport, which suits patients travelling from Tweed Heads and the Northern Rivers. Dr Tsung operates at the John Flynn Private Hospital in the same complex.
Consulting hours
We're open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We're closed on weekends and public holidays.
Fees and health funds
